As I may have brought to your attention at some point, I'm somewhat fanatical about Supras. And Hot Wheels finally made a Supra. And it was the ricer from The Fast and the Furious. But, there's hope—someone has customized some of those 1:64 Supras to be plain silver and nice looking... for the price of $12

CP, you can paint it any color you want yourself and feel better about it being your own.

Good point; I'll probably go down that route eventually. Thanks.

I think its depends. how much is the time/effort required to do this yourself worth to you? more or less than 15.50? (shipping)

I don't know if you've done any custom HW work before, but if not I'm sure I can give you a few tips even though I'm just an amature at it. Dismantling and stripping the paint is incredibly simple.

This. It's not that difficult to get started, though a little surface prepping is pretty much required if you want the paint to stick. If I know my Custom Hot Wheels, this looks a little like rattle can paint, and that stuff starts chipping off real easy...

I've painted two so far with model car spray paint. It chips pretty easy but I do a few coats of clear and it seems to alleviate that.
I did this one for my father's birthday.
And my Bullitt Mustang

Those are looking pretty good man, specially the Mustang. I used to do some painting with rattlecans as well, but, since all I had were generic brazilian acrilics, they'd finish in a rubber like coat and start chipping right away. I think the only paintjob I did that lasted a little longer was one I used Tamyia Lacquer paint, but, again, the lack of a primer would ruin it eventually...

Thanks, the finish of the Firebird is pretty rough, but the Mustang came out alot better. I'd like to get one of the paint guns at my local arts and crafts store and see how that works. I've put customizing on the backburner lately, but I have an FR-S and AE86 lined up to get stripped and done in matching colors.

Haha, know that feel... I have about 40 cars that I've done some other kind of modification that I still need to paint and finish, but the lack of proper materials has put them on hold indefinitely. I hope I'll be able to learn how to cast parts in white metal this summer and the borrow an airbrush from the shop in my garage to finish them up.

I'm having an issue right now with my Camaro wheel swap. I used model glue to keep the axels in place after cutting off the metal retaining clips but the weight of the body pushes the chassis off of the axels.

Thanks! I have crushed some crappy ones in my younger years, but never properly dismantled any.

Very true; I doubt it's worth it, so I guess I'll do the work myself.

It was fun at the time, but I definitely regret crushing alot of my cars.
